Micro-entrepreneurship Network in Food Processing at CFTRI: Registration open

Mysuru: CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, has initiated a Micro-entrepreneurs Network (MICROENT) in the area of food processing in order to create a common platform for cottage and tiny food manufacturers to share their ideas and address commonly faced technical challenges in running their enterprises.

The work has been initiated by a group of Ph.D students at CFTRI as part of their course work. Experts in Food Science and Technology would be guiding the participants with valuable input and students will be the conduit for catalysing these activities. The Forum would create various platforms and share the knowledge towards building a sustainable food processingcluster in the district.

Those who are interested to become part of this Network may  register with the link https://ment.cftri.res.in/register.php  (available with Institute web site,www.cftri.res.in) or send an email to: microent@cftri.res.in.

The Institute will be working closely with District Industries Centre (DIC) and CII – Mysore Chapter, in realising the objectives envisaged. Further, the Institute has been nurturing two major online platforms for the benefit of SMEs such as  SME Corner (over 1,300 registrations so far) and FreeTech Forum (45,887 downloads of 15 proven and free technologies).

Navigation links are available on the Institute website for availing the services, according to a press release from CFTRI.
