Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysore University Information and Library Science Network (MILAN) has elected its new Executive Committee for 2025-2027.
The 15-Member Committee will oversee the network’s academic and professional activities over the next two years, including the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Department to be held in June 2026.
B.P. Prakash, Advisor, Knowledge Centre at Chanakya University, Bengaluru, has been elected as the President while Prof. M. Chandrashekara, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, will serve as Vice-President.
Dr. B. Shylendra Kumar, Chief Librarian at Vidya Vikas Engineering College, Mysuru, has been chosen as the Secretary. Dr. Jayakumara, Librarian, Government First Grade College, Hullahalli, will be the Joint Secretary and Dr. B. Niveditha, Guest Faculty at the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, will be the Treasurer.
MILAN, stepping into its 11th year, is an active forum of Library and Information Science professionals and alumni, and continues to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange and professional growth in the field.
