After screening the applications, booth level officers would visit the applicants’ houses to verify whether the applicants who have sought inclusion in voters’ list and other facilities were residing in the area mentioned in the application form.
After verification, new voters would be included and changes to electoral roll would be effected.
Applications for any of the above modifications would be accepted till Apr. 14 people whose names have not figured in the rolls can get their names included by submitting applications.
As many people would have applied for inclusion in the voters’ list without verifying whether their names were in the electoral roll or not, officials would scrutinise all applications carefully and allow genuine people to be listed in the voters’ list.
