Miscreants snatch gold chains after barging into house at Nanjangud

Nanjangud: Miscreants have snatched gold chains of women after barging into a house in Nanjangud on Wednesday night.

The incident took place at the house on Gowrighatta Road belonging to Ravi, an employee of Srikanteshwara Temple.

The miscreants who barged into the house, snatched 30 grams gold chain of Ravi’s wife Kavitha Kumari and then snatched the gold chain of Ravi’s mother-in-law worth about Rs. 1.2 lakh.

But the miscreants managed to snatch only a part of the gold chain of Ravi’s mother-in-law before fleeing from the place as the women began to shout for help.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Amith Singh, DySP Vyjanath, Circle Inspector Shekar and Sub-Inspector Shivanna visited the house and conducted preliminary investigation.

Dog Squad and Fingerprint unit too inspected the place.

Police who have registered a case in this regard are investigating.
