Mysuru: In separate incidents at various Police limits in city, miscreants have stolen a total of 107 grams gold ornaments, Rs.70,000 cash and mobile phone in city.
In the first incident, miscreants who gained entry into a house at Gandhinagar 2nd Cross using duplicate key, have decamped with 40 grams gold ornaments from the house.
The theft took place on June 25 at the house of Jayamma, a Group-D employee at K.R. Hospital in city. The theft came to light when Jayamma returned home in the evening after finishing her work at the hospital.
A case has been registered at N.R. Police Station in this regard.
In the second incident, miscreants have decamped with Rs.70,000 cash and a mobile phone from a house on Thurab Ali Street, 3rd Cross at Mandi Mohalla on June 20.
The theft took place at the house of Smitha. On June 20 night, Smitha had bolted the door from inside and had gone to sleep. Miscreants, who gained entry into the house by opening the bolt of the door through the window, have decamped with the cash and mobile phone which was kept in the almirah.
Mandi Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
In the third case, miscreants have lifted a purse containing gold ornaments from the vanity bag of a woman, near Hinkal Bus Stand on June 24.
The woman, identified as M.K. Tilothama, wife of Devaraj, was travelling in a KSRTC bus from K.R. Nagar to Mysuru and got down at Hinkal Bus Stand at about 7 pm.
Before proceeding to her house, she decided to check her vanity bag in which she had kept a purse containing 67 grams gold ornaments during which the theft came to light.
A case has been registered at Vijayanagar Police Station in this regard.
