Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have reportedly stolen money from the hundi at Bannikaleshwari Temple in Kurubarahalli yesterday early morning.
The miscreants, who gained into Shanimahatma, Ganapathi and Anjaneyaswamy Temples in Bannikaleshwari Temple premises at about 2 am, broke opened the hundis and have decamped with the money in it. When they (miscreants), were trying to break open the hundi at Bannikaleshwari Temple, the residents woke up on hearing sounds and screamed, resulting in the miscreants fleeing from the spot, leaving behind the hundi.
Nazarbad Police personnel, who were on night rounds launched a hunt to nab the miscreants but in vain. Nazarbad Inspector Jeevan, who has registered a case, has collected footages of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity and has spread a dragnet to nab the miscreants.
