Miscreants steal Rs. 2 lakh cash from scooter dickey at Nanjangud

Nanjangud: Miscreants have stolen Rs. 2 lakh cash kept in the dickey of a scooter parked at Government Boys’ PU College in the town yesterday. The person, who lost the cash, is Veerabhadraiah, a Physical Education Instructor at Government Boys’ PU College and a resident of Housing Board at Nanjangud.

On Tuesday, Veerabhadraiah had gone to the State Bank of India (SBI) Branch on Patashaala Street and had withdrawn Rs. 2 lakh cash for the house-warming ceremony of his new house, which was scheduled on Dec. 2.

When he came out of the Bank, he found one of the tyres punctured. After getting the repair done, Veerabhadraiah kept the cash in the dickey of his scooter and went to the College. After parking his scooter at the designated place, he went inside the College and when he came back to go home, he found the cash missing.
