Apropos the news item titled ‘Middle-East War Explained:  Israel-Iran war will lead to Third World War’ in SOM dated  May 5, which purports to be a report of my talk delivered at Mysore Open Forum yesterday, I must take exception to the misleading title of that news item.

Nowhere in my talk did I use the words ‘Third World War’ and in fact I was emphatic in saying that there would be No War between Israel and Iran. Israel is only using its attacks on Iranian Mission in Damascus and subsequent attack in Isfahan as pressure points on President Biden so that he relents on Netanyahu’s planned attack on the Rafah refugee camp in Palestine as the lesser evil of the two options.

Rest of the coverage is a true and accurate presentation of my talk. Here, I must place on record my deep gratitude to your newspaper for the extraordinary coverage it has given to my talk.
