Mysuru: The body of a man, who had gone missing 15 days ago, was found in a decomposed state at Kukkarahalli Lake yesterday.

The deceased is Narayanamurthy (38), a resident of Lakshmipuram. Jayalakshmipuram Police, who reached the spot, conducted mahazar, but were unable to establish the identity of the deceased. As a missing complaint was lodged at Lakshmipuram Police Station 15 days back, the Police, summoned the family members of the missing man, who identified the body as that of Narayanamurthy.

A painter by profession, Narayanamurthy was depressed over the death of his brother a few days back, family members said. Jayalakshmipuram Police, who have registered a case, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary where post-mortem and the body was handed over to the family members.
