Names 16 former Administrative Board members in his complaint
Mysore/Mysuru: Alleging that the former Administrative Board of Kaniyara Seva Samaja had misused the site allotted to it (Samaja) for the construction of a student hostel on Kalidasa Road in Mysuru’s Jayalakshmipuram, by illegally leasing out the site for monetary gains, Senior Inspector at the office of the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies at Bengaluru T.C. Vijayakumar, who is also the Kaniyara Seva Samaja Administrative Officer (AO), has lodged a criminal case against 16 members who were part of the Board in the past.
In his complaint lodged at Chamarajapet Police Station at Bengaluru, Vijayakumar maintained that illegal leasing out of the Samaja site on Kalidasa Road in Jayalakashmipuram in Mysuru and misappropriation of money by members of the former Administrative Board of the Samaja had led to reclamation of site by MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority).
Following the complaint, the Chamarajapet Police have registered a case against the accused under sections 187, 188, 403, 406, 420 and 34 of IPC on July 14, it is learnt.
