Mitigate parking woes

January 22, 2019

Sir,

It is very difficult to find a place to park a four-wheeler for a short while when we need to pick up or drop passengers at the Suburban Bus Stand. Available parking space at the basement is loaded with goods of shop-keepers and two wheelers, leaving a small stretch for four-wheeler parking.

The space abutting the compound of taxi stand opposite the bus stand is an ideal place to park four-wheelers. But the jurisdictional Traffic Police have placed “No Parking” boards throughout the length of this stretch.

Traffic Police should be public-friendly and they should try to mitigate the genuine woes of public, instead of compounding their woes. The “No Parking” boards at this location should be replaced by “Parking” boards, which will be of immense help to motorists. Hope the jurisdictional Traffic cops will take positive action.
