MLA distributes Tricycles to differently-abled beneficiaries

Mysore/Mysuru: K.R. Constituency MLA S.A. Ramdas distributed nine tricycles to differently-abled persons at his office in Vidyaranyapuram recently. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the symbolic distribution of various Government services, benefits and facilities to beneficiaries had taken place during the ‘Modi Yug Utsav’ held at Ramalingeshwara Park in September last.

Now, the tricycles have been distributed to nine beneficiaries under the aegis of Department for the Empowerment of Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens.

Pointing out that the tricycles have been purchased at a cost of Rs.7.46 lakh, funded by the MLA’s Local Area Development Fund, Ramdas said that Pourakarmikas have been distributed electric vehicles. He further said that there are plans to distribute battery-operated vehicles to street vendors in the coming days for which a list of beneficiaries has been prepared.

The Department Officers Malini and Gopalkrishna Hegde, BJP leaders Eshwar, M.R. Balakrishna, Devarajegowda, Prasad Babu and Santosh, the MLA’s Office Secretary Adarsh and others were present.
