Mysore/Mysuru: Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the District Administration, in association with ZP, Labour Department, the Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, Department for Empowerment of Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens and several private companies, distributed retrofitted tricycles to 22 disabled beneficiaries at a programme organised at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Siddarthanagar on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Tanveer Sait said, it is delightful to note that engineers have designed and developed these retrofitted tricycles that largely suits the convenience of the physically challenged.
The tricycles were sponsored by different companies under CSR. Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy, the Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health Joint Director H.S. Narendra Babu, Deputy Director M.S. Mahadev, Deputy Director of Department for Empowerment of Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens B. Basavaraj, Assistant Labour Commissioner Lalitha Bai, Labour Officer Chetan Kumar and others were present.
