Bylakuppe: Accusing BJP leaders of dividing the society by disturbing communal harmony, Periyapatna MLA K. Venkatesh said the Congress Government was committed to rural development and empowerment of the poor. He was speaking after launching a slew of development works at Dodda Hosur village in the taluk recently.
Pointing out that these development works have been taken up at a cost of Rs. 5.85 crores, Venkatesh called upon the Gram Panchayats to ensure appropriate implementation of MNREGA scheme. TP EO Basavaraj, T.P. President Nirupa, ZP Member C. Mani, TP Member Preethi, APMC Member R.T. Revanna, PLD Bank President Chandrashekar, Dodda Hosur GP President Sunitha, Vice-President Dakshayini and others were present.
