MLA  Nagendra launches Metagalli School development works

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of infrastructure improvement in Government schools, MLA L. Nagendra on Monday performed guddali puja for development works at Metagalli Government High School located  behind Metagalli Police Station on KRS Road in city.

Speaking on the occasion,  Nagendra said that the works, estimated at Rs.89.08 lakh, has been taken up under special grants announced by the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) which has adopted this School.

Noting that Government Schools should overtake Private Schools in infrastructure, the MLA said that the Government is working in that direction.

Maintaining that locals and members of the public should keep the authorities and elected representatives informed about the shortcomings in Government Schools, he said that this will help the Government to take suitable measures.

Contending that Government Schools belong to the public, he stressed on the need for taking care of schools just like our homes.

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar, Registrar Prof. Rajanna, Executive Engineer Bhaskar, BJP leaders Kumaragowda, Dinesh Gowda, Sanjeevini Kumar, Narasimhamurthy, Roopesh, Mahesh, Madhu,  Rukmini, Shobha, Savithri, Satyabhama  and others                       were present.
