MLA on Swachha Bhanuvara – Hasiru  Bhanuvara’ campaign at Ward No.48

Mysuru: Krishnaraja MLA S.A. Ramdas took up ‘Swachha Bhanuvara – Hasiru Bhanuvara’ (Clean Sunday – Green Sunday) campaign at residential areas of Ward No.48 in city recently as part of Swachh Bharat Mission.

He took up the campaign with the support of Pourakarmikas, members of various people- friendly organisations and public at various streets behind Jayanagar ISKCON Temple and around Chinnagirikoppal.

The MLA said that this campaign was launched with the main idea to spread the importance of health and sanitation to people besides planting saplings in the parks to increase greenery.

It also aims at sensitising the public to keep their surroundings clean by disposing the garbage generated in their houses and Wards scientifically.

The MLA said that he has given instructions to MUDA officials to clear encroachments of its property occupied by vested interests at Jayanagar 16th, 17th and 18th Cross as well as take steps to construct Library and Yoga Centre there.

He said that he had heard complaints from residents of Jayanagar that many of benefits implemented by the Government through Anganavadi Kendras had not been reaching properly to all beneficiaries.

Instructions would be given to Women and Child Welfare Department officials to ensure benefits to all women and children without any discrimination.

All measures will be taken to shift the Anganavadi Centre to Government School building where it had toilet, playgrounds, kitchen and all other basic facilities.

Corporator Shobha, BJP leaders Gowri, Girish, Somanna, Kumar, Mahadeva, Ramprasad, Sujatha Ramprasad, Nagaraj, Pradeep, Chinmayi, Prasad, Umesh, Lokesh, Mahesh, Chavana Shettty, Health Inspector Preethi, Environmental Engineer Spoorthi and others were present during the  Sunday campaign.
