Mysuru: MLA Tanveer Sait performed guddali puja for development works worth Rs. 8 crore at NR Constituency here yesterday.
Development works include construction of a new building and renovation of old building at Government Industrial Training Institute premises at Rs. 4 crore, development of storm water drain at Hanumanthanagar at Rs. 1 crore and development of roads near St. Philomena’s Church among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Sait said, the height of the retaining wall of the storm water drain in Hanumanthanagar would be increased to avoid overflow of drain water onto the roads during the rainy season apart from installing the grills for the safety.
“Mysuru attracts tourists round the year and many of them visit the famous St. Philomena’s Church. Hence, works of developing roads near the Church has been launched at Rs. 1 crore,” he added.
Azeez Sait Block Congress President Syed Iqbal, Vice-President Shehanshah, former City Youth Congress President Shoukath Ali and others were present.
