Mysuru: Continuing this inspection spree for the second day on June 22, MLA S.A. Ramdas undertook a padayatra in MCC Ward No. 13 coming under K.R. Constituency and heard the grievances from the public. Ramdas who visited Srirampura, received complaints from the public, with most of them highlighting poor civic amenities in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramdas said that he had undertaken his first padayatra in Ward No. 13 covering Srirampura, as promised by him prior to the Assembly polls. Stating that he will never even forget Srirampura as he got maximum votes from this area, Ramdas promised to look into all the complaints.
Assuring that he will initiate measures to set up a play ground and a yoga centre in every ward coming under K.R. Constituency, he said that some of the private layouts in the area come under MUDA and as such, there were a few problems in the maintenance of these layouts.
He further said that he would discuss with the MCC officials on bringing these layouts under MCC, for providing better civic amenities such as drinking water, good roads, proper street lights etc.
Pointing out that he has come to know that names of many voters residing in MDCC Layout, Annapoorna Layout, Revenue Layout, Bharath Layout etc., do not find mention in the electoral rolls, he said that he will discuss the issue with the authorities concerned. He also said that he will make efforts to end drainage and drinking water woes in the area. Corporator Jagadish, former Corporator M.V. Vidya Urs and others were present.
