MLA Ramdas writes to CM on cutting cess on fuels

Mysuru: MLA and former Minister S.A. Ramdas has written a open letter to Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy urging him to reduce State cess on petrol and diesel prices by Rs. 3 a litre.

In his letter, Ramdas alleged that the Congress which ruled the Country for nearly 6 decades post independence had done little for making the Country self-reliant on fuel.

Pointing out that International crude oil prices have been steadily rising, Ramdas noted that India was importing 82 percent of its fuel needs from other countries.
