Mysuru: With the tenure of Dr. K.R. Dakshayani, who was serving as the Dean and Director of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) ending on Aug. 18, the Government has appointed Dr. Mudassir Azeez Khan, Professor & Head, Department of Community Medicine, MMC&RI, as In-charge Dean and Director with effect from Aug. 19.
Dr. Azeez, who was born in Cheluvamba Hospital here, will now function as the In-charge Dean and Director until a regular Dean and Director is appointed or until further orders of the Govt.
Dr. Dakshayani will continue to serve as a faculty of Anatomy Department of MMC&RI.
With a teaching experience of 15 years, Dr. Azeez has conducted many CME programmes, seminars, clinical meetings, journal clubs and delivered guest lectures at National Institutions.
He initiated the improvement of waste management at K.R. Hospital in 2007; Monitored intradermal Rabies Vaccination and coordinated functioning of Nutritional Rehabilitation Centre along with the Dept. of Paediatrics.
