Mobile phone thief arrested by Hebbal Police

27 mobile phones worth Rs. 2.84 lakh recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: Hebbal Police have arrested a person on charges of stealing mobile phones from a shop in Mandi Mohalla and have recovered 27 mobile phones worth Rs. 2,84,200 from him.

The Police, who were on their regular beat, found an unidentified person standing near Surya Bakery Circle in a suspicious manner and took him into custody.

During interrogation, the person is said to have confessed of breaking into Cell City, a mobile showroom at Mandi Mohalla, by breaking the lock of the shop and decamping with   mobile phones. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered 27 mobile phones from him.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Vijayanagar Sub-Division ACP Gajendra Prasad guided Hebbal In-charge Inspector R. Diwakar, Sub-Inspectors C. Keerthi and Ambamma and staff Mallikarjunappa, Ravikumar, Harish, Mahesh Hosamani, Venkatesh and Asha in the nabbing and recovery operation.
