Model Schools to be started at village-level too, says Minister

Bengaluru: Maintaining that the Government has plans to start Model Schools at village-level too, Primary and Secondary Education Minister B.C. Nagesh said that Karnataka Public Schools are better than those in Delhi.

Replying to a query by Malavalli MLA Annadani during question hour in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Nagesh asserted that measures will be taken to further enhance academic quality in Public Schools.

Pointing out that the Education Department is in the process of making some changes regarding fire safety and building quality standards in respect to private schools, Nagesh said that the Government is also considering license renewal once in three years instead of the existing one year.
