Sir,
This refers to KBG’s Abracadabra titled ‘OMEN’ in Star of Mysore dated Oct.14. A remarkable and comprehensive analyses of the reality describing the prospect of the world being on the brink of catastrophe as there are two flash points which have the potential to explode into Third World War situation if wiser counsels do not prevail to resolve the conflict.
First one is the war raging for more than a year between Russia and Ukraine and the second one in the Middle East where Israel is fighting for its existence surrounded by inimical forces on all sides.
The fight is not for the land which is incidental and is basically for the freedom to safeguard its culture to live in harmony.
In effect, it is a clash of civilisations and has an eerie similarity with the collapse of Roman Empire with a difference that Israel with its technological arsenal superiority can defend itself.
There are two other simmering conflict situations like the frequent flexing of missile muscles by North Korea with unpredictability of its leader and the China-Taipei stand-off.
It is indeed true that war germinates in the minds of men and in a world where countries have fixation of overpowering ambition to wield power over other countries to control and subjugate them, there is always the danger of conflict situation going out of control.
In international relationship, it requires the wisdom of a universally liked popular world leader to broker peace to usher in peaceful resolution between warring nations.
At present, from all considerations, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is best fitted to play such a role. He has already given evidence of it in Russia-Ukraine conflict. And hope he may help in the case of Middle-East where presently Israel and Iran are locked in do or die situation and India is in best of relations with both countries.

Note: Yes, indeed there is always the danger of conflict situations going out of control with consequential disaster to the world. For example, in World War II when Japan, a member of the Axis Powers, was winning in the East, marching across Singapore, Burma and reaching India, the Allied Forces dropped the nuclear bomb on Japan that ended the World War II. —KBG
