MOF to host talk on ‘How Old is Bangalore?’ tomorrow

Mysuru, June 6- Mysore Open Forum (MOF) has organised a talk on ‘How Old is Bangalore? – A City Read Through Its Stones’ by P. L. Udaya Kumar, Heritage Conservationist and Project Director (Hon.), The Mythic Society, at 10.30 am on June 7 at Kalpa Kshetra Auditorium, #581/1, Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 1st Phase, Mysuru [Mob: 9449819536].

P. L. Udaya Kumar is a prominent heritage conservationist, independent researcher and Honorary Director of Bengaluru Inscriptions 3D Digital Conservation Project at Mythic Society.

Often dubbed Bengaluru’s “accidental historian” and “inscription hunter,” he transitioned from a successful engineering career to dedicate his life to discovering, digitally scanning and preserving ancient stone inscriptions. With a Master’s Degree in Engineering Mechanics from IIT Madras, he has applied his corporate and technology background to create a fast, accurate and accessible method for decoding and cataloguing irreplaceable local heritage.

Udaya Kumar will talk about the various epigraphical stone inscriptions available in Bengaluru which will reveal the history, growth and culture of Bengaluru over the years.
