Samathento has organised staging of ‘Shakespeare Nataka Prakarana’ by Kathegararu theatre troupe from Bengaluru at Mini Theatre in Kalamandira premises here on Nov.24 at 7 pm. The music-based mono act will be presented by Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Award (META) recipient Prasad Cherkady. Manish Mithra has directed the play. Inspired by William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ a comedy, it has Kannada and Bengali songs that narrate the story. The play, which was first staged at Rangashankara in Bengaluru, has also been staged at Theatre Olympics-2018 held in Kolkata. Entry for the show is free.
