Mysuru – To encourage people in the farming sector with due empathy for travails and tribulations of farmers, Nele Hinnele, in association with the folklore section of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS), has organised a month-long free training in theatre from Apr. 10 to May 10 at B.M. Sri auditorium in the premises of KIKS in Manasagangothri.
Disclosing this at a press meet at KIKS here, Nele Hinnele Director and former Rangayana Director H. Janardhan said that the camp was specifically organised for college students with a theme ‘Uluva Yogiya Nodalli’ to invoke creativity among farmers to maintain agricultural activities even under adverse conditions. He added that the camp was a tribute to farmer leader late Nanjundaswamy.
Continuing, Janardhan said that the camp would also feature a three-day theatre festival, street plays, a workshop, film festival for farmers, Raitha Santhe, interactions, folk songs, expo of agri-equipment and a photo exhibition. He added that progressive farmers too would participate in the programme.
