Mysuru: Vid. Srikrishna Mohan and Vid. Ramkumar Mohan will present a vocal music concert at the monthly Moonlight Music programme – 250 to take place at Suttur Mutt at the foot of Chamundi Hill in city at 6 pm tomorrow (Jan. 6). They will be accompanied by Vid. Vishwesh Chandrashekar on violin, Vid. Tirchur R. Mohan on mridanga and Vid. G. Suresh on ghata.
Profile: Vid. Srikrishna Mohan and Vid. Ramkumar Mohan, popularly known as Tirchur brothers are children of popular mridanga artiste Vid. Tirchur R. Mohan. They have been giving concerts across the world. Tirchur brothers learnt classical Karnatak music from Madurai Balamani Sridhar and Thamarakkad Govind in Gurukula system and are presently learning from Padma Bhushan Awardee P.S. Narayanaswamy. Tirchur brothers have also written and composed the title track for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Namami Gange’ Yojana.
