This is in response to Vijay Hemmige’s letter titled “Ring Road accidents: Some thoughts” (SOM dated Jan. 20) and I wish to share some useful points: 1. There are three Railway Underpasses on the stretch between Columbia Asia Hospital – Metagalli junction and none of them have any lights, which is most important.
2. On the road leading from Metagalli junction next to the Underpass, the road takes deviation after a few feet and the light of opposite vehicles blares the drivers vision and the chances of accident is very high. MUDA must immediately act to make the exit at Underpass easy.
Being a regular user, I feel, if the above are rectified, accidents can be brought down drastically.
