MoU to bridge gap between academics and industries

Mysuru:  In order to bridge the gap between academics and the industries, the NIE-IT, Koorgalli, Mysuru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading organisations Kaynes Technology India Pvt. Ltd., Karnataka Electricity Board Engineers Association Institute of Training (KEBEAIT) and Government Tool Room & Training Centre (GT&TC) on Apr.28.

This facilitates industrial visits, getting internships and student’s academic projects which are mandatory requirements for the academic activities.

K.R. Lakshmi Kantha, Consultant, HRD, CESC and Principal, KEBEA Institute of Training, Kadakola, K.L. Prakash, Dy. General Manager, GT&TC, Mysuru, Ramesh Agrahara, Vice-President, Kaynes Technology Pvt. Ltd. and N. Ramanuja, Vice-President, NIE Group of Institutions, Mysuru, were the guests of honour. M. Medha rendered invocation.  Prof. T. Ananthapadmanabha, Principal, NIE-IT, welcomed the gathering.

N. Ramanuja, Vice-President, NIE Group of Institutions highlighted the objectives and importance of partnership between the academic institutions and industries by signing the MoUs. He emphasized on the benefits, such interactions could bring in to the students of the institute in their future endeavours.

K.R. Lakshmi Kantha from KEBEAIT, spoke about the importance of training to the students which would help them to bridge the knowledge gap between industry and                                                            academic institutions.

K.L. Prakash, GT&TC, emphasised on various training programmes hosted by industries which  helps students in establishing their career.

Ramesh Agrahara of Kaynes Technologies spoke about the benefits of incubation centre, live projects and internship pogrammes to the students.

G.S. Ramachandra, Hon. Secretary, NIE MC, expressed his  delightedness about such programmes.

Srinath Batni, Hon. President, NIE Group of Institutions, delivered the presidential remarks.  He emphasized on the benefits of MoUs between academic institutions and industries. He persuaded the students to make the best use of the opportunities provided by such programmes.

Dr. R. Hemanth, Associate Professor, ME Dept., proposed a vote of thanks.  D. Rajeshwari, Asst. Prof. Dept. of ISE and S. Divya, Asst. Professor, Dept. of EEE, compered the programme.
