Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha yesterday inaugurated the drinking water RO unit provided by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) at the slums in Metagalli here. The unit has been built at a cost of Rs.10 lakh.
This is the second unit the IOC is providing under its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) in city.
Lauding the gesture of IOC, MP Pratap Simha said: “Apart from providing vital petroleum products to the country, the IOC has proved again and again as a good responsible corporate citizen by enriching the lives of the people through its various CSR activities.”
Former MUDA Chairman L. Nagendra, Industrialist S.K. Dinesh and others were present.
It may be recalled that the MP had inaugurated a similar drinking water RO unit at Kailaspuram here last month.
