Unleashing a barrage of allegations against KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundu Rao, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha this morning asked Dinesh Gundu Rao to mind his language when he speaks of senior leaders like former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa.
Addressing a press conference at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city, Pratap Simha, in an obvious reference to Dinesh Gundu Rao’s statement that ‘Yeddyurappa has lost his mental balance,’ he charged that Congress leaders who patronise corrupt netas and babus have lost their mental balance.
Dinesh Gundu Rao should first list out the achievements of his father late R. Gundu Rao as Chief Minister and then talk of Yeddyurappa, who has launched countless number of welfare schemes during his tenure as CM, the MP demanded.
Asked for comments on statements made by Congress that IT and ED were targeting only Congress leaders at the behest of the BJP, Pratap Simha said that the IT and ED were conducting raids only on the basis of information given by Congressmen and clarified that BJP had no role whatsoever in the raids.
Those at the helm of affairs in the State Government, which has so far not taken any action against those found hoarding crores or rupees through corruption have no moral right to speak on false charges of corruption by the BJP, he added.
The office-bearers of the Congress who did not utter a single word when scams like Bofors, CWG, 2G spectrum and Arkavathi land de-notfication are now raising their voice on the false charges of corruption by the BJP, which is ridiculous, the MP charged.
The corrupt Congress has no locus-standi to stage a protest in the name Satyameva Jayate, which means victory of truth over the evil. BJP leader Yashaswini Somashekar, Karnataka Pradesh Hotel Owners Association President M. Rajendra were among those present.
