MP R. Dhruvanarayan lays foundation for PM Awas Yojana houses

T. Narasipura: Chamarajanagar MP R. Dhruvanarayan on Monday laid the foundation stone for construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana  at Vinayaka Colony, Ward No.19 of T. Narasipur town. Speaking on the occasion, the MP said that houses for the poor are being constructed under various Housing Schemes of the Union and  State Governments.

Pointing out that 200 houses are being built at a cost of Rs.10.20 crore sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Dhruvanarayan said that he had now laid the foundation for 100 houses, while  Varuna MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah will lay the foundation shortly for the remaining 100 houses.

T. Narasipur MLA M. Ashwin Kumar said that each house being constructed under the scheme will have a floor area of 3.25 squares with a hall, bedroom, kitchen and a toilet.

He asked the officials to conduct a survey of dilapidated houses and identify beneficiaries who can be listed under various Housing Schemes.

TP President R. Cheluvaraj, ZP Member M. Manjunath, Planning Officer Kemparaju, Health Officer Maitradevi and TP Executive Officer Dr. B.S. Nanjesh were present.
