Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, in his first major reshuffle after he became the head of the party eight months ago, has appointed Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya as the President of BJP Yuva Morcha, the National youth wing of the party.
In another major appointment, Karnataka Tourism Minister C.T. Ravi has been made as the BJP National General Secretary.
Ravi is only the second from the State to be appointed for the top post after late Union Minister Ananth Kumar.
Ravi will also be appointed as in-charge of any one of the South Indian States.
With the appointment of Ravi, a Vokkaliga leader, the BJP leadership is said to be eyeing Vokkaliga vote bank and further strengthen the party in the State.
