MRC gets new Chairman

L. Vivekananda has been elected as Chairman and Senior Steward of Mysore Race Club (MRC) Ltd., for the official year 2020-21, at the Managing Committee Meeting held yesterday.

Election of Stewards and Committee Members: In the elections held, after the 52nd Annual General Body Meeting of the MRC, for the office of two Stewards and two Committee Members, there were four contenders for each office.

Y.B. Ganesh (88 votes) and B.U. Chengappa (87 votes) were elected as Stewards while M.L. Kantharaj Urs (96 votes) and B.N. Cariappa (87 votes) were chosen as Committee Members.

In all, 165 members out of 250 members cast their votes.
