MRC postpones first day of Mysore Races 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysore Race Club (MRC) Limited was scheduled to start its Mysore Summer Races-2022 from tomorrow (May 18) comprising 13 days of racing, which would conclude on Aug. 10.

Due to persistent rains over the past few days and inclement weather rendering the underfoot conditions of the Race Track not conducive for racing, the Stewards of MRC have decided as under:

a) To cancel the First Day of the Mysore Summer Races- 2022, scheduled to be held on Wednesday (May 18).

b) To postpone the Mysore Juvenile Million-2022, which shall now be run on the Second Day of the Mysore Summer Races-2022, to be held on Wednesday (May 25).

The acceptors for the above Race shall hold good, but declaration for the above Race shall be done afresh. Stakemoney: The stakemoney has been restored to the pre-COVID level 100 percent to start with and plans are afoot to improve it further. The expected pay out of stakemoney shall be to the tune of Rs. 5 crore for the Season, according to a press release from MRC Secretary and CEO NHS Mani.
