Playing a consistent baseline game qualifier Lohith A. Bathrinath (Tamil Nadu) carved out a upset win over fourth seeded Ansu Kumar Bhuyan (Odisha) 7-6 (4), 6-2 and entered the quarter-finals in the men’s singles event in the MTC Cup AITA Rs. 1 lakh prize money men’s tennis tournament, organised by Mysore Tennis Club here yesterday.

Top-seed V.M. Ranjeet (TN), second seeded Faisal Qumar (RAJ) and third-seeded lo lad S.D. Prajwal Dev registered convincing wins over their respective opponents to enter the last eight stage of the tournament.
