MUDA Land Acquisition Officer writes to SE on clearing unauthorised construction

Mysuru: With unauthorised structures coming up in 7.18 acre area, coming under Hinkal Survey No.89, Vijayanagar second stage in city, the MUDA Special Land Acquisition Officer (SLAO) has written a letter to the Superintending Engineer (SE) asking him to clear the unauthorised structures, so that a MUDA Layout can be formed.

In a letter written to the SE on Mar.15, the SLAO said that 11.18 acre land, coming under Hinkal Survey No.89, was taken into possession by MUDA following a Government notification on Mar.29, 1984 and compensation was paid to 4 acres of land subsequent to a Jan.31, 1985 award. But the compensation for the rest 7.18 acre land could not be setted as unauthorised structures have come up in the said land. As such, measures have to be taken to clean all the unauthorised structures that have come up in the said 7.18 acre area, so that the compensation can be settled, the letter said.

The letter further said that the land is already in possession of MUDA and as such the Hinkal Gram Panchayat has no authority to sanction sites or issue building license in the said land.
