MUDA meeting held after eight long months

Mysore/Mysuru: The general meeting of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) was held yesterday at the MUDA office on JLB Road here after a long gap of eight months.

The last meeting was held on July 23, 2019 when H.N. Vinay was the MUDA  Chairman in the previous JD(S)-Congress Coalition Government.

No further meeting could be held till now due to Lok Sabha Polls, change in Government, Dasara Festival and other reasons.

Yesterday’s meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar, who is also the current MUDA Chairman. 

A total of 219 issues came up at the meeting, out of which 200 issues were discussed.

The meeting approved 2019-20 Budget proposals, issuance of plan approvals for private layouts, sanction of alternative sites, sanction of bits of land and allotment of sites, among others. The meeting also approved the proposals put forward by City Planning section, Engineering section and Land Acquisition Office.

MLAs G.T. Devegowda, L. Nagendra and Ravindra Srikantaiah, MLCs Marithibbegowda, Sandesh Nagaraj, K.T. Srikantegowda and R. Dharmasena, MUDA Commissioner P.S. Kantharaju, Secretary Savitha, City Planning Member Girish, Special Land Acquisition Officer Chandramma, Chief Accounts Officer Muthu, CESC Superintending Engineer Munigopal Raju and other officials were present.
