Mysore/Mysuru: In an early morning operation on Wednesday, MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority)officials reclaimed an encroached land worth about Rs. 40 lakh at Gokulam second stage in city.
One Basavanna had illegally built a shed on a site (No.294) measuring 6.40 mts x 9.40 mts in Gokulam second stage and stayed in it for years.
Later, Basavanna moved the Court claiming that the site belonged to him. But Basavanna failed to produce any documents supporting his claim on ownership, following which the MUDA authorities reclaimed the site after vacating the shed built on it and installed a board mentioning that the site belongs to MUDA.
MUDA Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh said that the site will be auctioned.
