Mysore/Mysuru: Music-lovers in Mysuru are in for a treat as the city’s Sri Swaramadhurya Gana Balaga in collaboration with Vidyullahari, Mysuru, is set to host a unique musical event.
Titled ‘Ee Samaya Sangeethamaya,’ the multi-lingual concert, led by All India Radio artiste and former SJCE faculty Dr. A.D. Srinivasan, will be held on Monday (Sept. 8) at 5 pm at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road.
The evening promises to be a nostalgic journey through a live orchestra performance of popular film songs in four languages: Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. A team of eight professional singers, including Dr. A.D. Srinivasan, Indrani Anantharam, Sheela Gurudutt, Ashwathnarayan, Shwetha Dinesh, Gurudutt, Dr. S. Padmashree, and Srihari, will lend their voices to the popular tracks.
The instrumental support will be provided by Purushottam and Sharath on keyboard, Gurudutt on rhythm pad, Indushekar and Atmaram on tabla. There will be no formal stage programme and entry to the public is free.
