Mumbai Xpress Rickshaw Challenge team pass through Mysuru

Mysuru: The 2000- km Rickshaw Challenge, which began in Mumbai, passed through Mysuru yesterday. A total of 16 teams with 30 participants from nine different countries are taking part in the racing challenge which will culminate in Chennai. This is the fifth year the Rickshaw Challenge is being organised.

Along the way, the participants of the Rickshaw Challenge-Mumbai Xpress 2017 are making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged by raising funds for various projects of Round Table India under their Flagship programme Freedom Through Education.

The Rickshaws were paraded around some of the busy streets of Mysuru to create awareness and then they headed to Mysore Heritage Round Table (MHRT-109)-adopted Kukkarahalli Government School. MHRT-109  donated Library Books to the school and geometry boxes to the children.  

The Rickshaws were flagged off by MHRT-109 Chairman Tr. Sharath. Vice-Chairman Tr. Arun Kumar, Secretary Tr. Vaibav, Project Convenor Tr. Mahesh, MHLC-109 Chairperson  Cr. Asha, Vice-Chairperson Cr. Megana and Project Convenor Cr. Sangeetha were present.
