Murder of headmaster near Mandya:Wife, daughter, brother-in-law interrogated

The Mandya Police, who are investigating the murder case of a Government School headmaster, who was killed in broad daylight at Arechakanahalli near here on Mar. 31 while he was on his way to the school, have interrogated the wife, daughter and brother-in-law of the deceased Headmaster.

The headmaster is Shashibhushan, who was working at Arechakanahalli Government School.

Following the murder, K.M. Doddi Police, had rushed to the spot along with the Dog Squad and Fingerprint experts, inspected the spot and took the Headmaster’s wife Shanthamma, daughter and brother-in-law Sunil into their custody soon after the last rites were performed and interrogated them.

During interrogation, the Police have come to know that Shanthamma was working as a teacher at a school.

It is learnt that the Police have got valuable information that Shashibhushan was killed by ‘supari’ killers from Mysuru and the Police have launched a hunt to nab the killers in Mysuru. The cops have conducted search in various localities in Mysuru.

The reason for the murder and who killed the Headmaster would be known only after arresting the killers. Meanwhile, Mandya SP Sudheer Kumar Reddy speaking to SOM said that the investigations were going on and the Police have interrogated the family members of the deceased besides saying that the Police would soon crack the case.

It may be recalled that Shashibhushan, on Mar. 31, was stopped by miscreants who were following his bike in a car and murdered him by slitting his throat at Arechakanahalli village and had fled from the spot.
