Mushrooming of Roadside Eateries

Sir,

Krishna Vilas Road has been declared as non-hawking zone by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) a few years back. But of late several eateries have mushroomed on the road, especially in and around Khadri Shamanna Circle making it a nightmare to walk in the evenings.

The shops occupy the entire stretch of the footpath forcing the pedestrians to walk on the road, which becomes even more difficult with the haphazard parking of vehicles.

I do not know whether these eateries have obtained licence to do business. Recently, a new eatery has cropped up just abutting Sri Venkataramana Swamy Temple.

Though the Traffic Police Station is just a few meters away from the spot, they just turn a blind eye in regulating parking and clearing footpath encroachment.

Pray, that MCC and Police take immediate steps to clear the hindrances for easy movement of pedestrians.
