Mysuru: As part of its 143rd Cultural Outreach Programme, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru, in association with BVB Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru, has organised a Karnatak Classical Music Concert by Vidu. Paavani Bharadwaj at BVB Mysuru Kendra in Vijayanagar 1st Stage at 6 pm on Feb. 15. She will be accompanied by Vidu. C.V. Shruthi on violin, Vid. S. Kumaraswamy on mridanga and Vid. S. Ramesh on ghata.

Vidu. Paavani Bharadwaj, born on 7.6.1995, hails from a family of musicians of many generations. Her great grandfather Vid. Arunachalappa was a harmonium player of great repute. Her paternal grandfather Ganakalabhushana Vid. A. Veerabhadraiah was the senior most violinist of Karnataka and Founder of Aruna Musicals, manufacturers and dealers of Musical Instruments. Her father Vid. A.V. Kashinath was a well-known percussionist and manufacturer of musical instruments. Her mother Swarashree Vidu. Pushpa Kashinath is a leading ‘A’ grade Veena artiste of All India Radio.
Paavani is the disciple of Vidu. R. Chandrika, Sangeetha Kalacharya Vidu. Neela Ramgopal, Padma Shri awardee Vid. R.N. Thyagarajan and her mother Swarashree Vidu. Pushpa Kashinath.
Paavani is an ‘A’ graded artiste of All India Radio in two categories namely Devotional and Light Music; Gold medallist in MA Music and a Biomedical Engineer, currently working on ‘The efficacy of Indian Music during Pregnancy.’ She is the Founder of Nadasamskar, a unique centre where people can experience and explore the healing power of music. Nadasamskar offers different services like Musical Satsang, Meditative concerts, Nada-Yoga-Dhyana programmes, Sound Healing programmes, Garbha Samskar programmes and Music Classes.
