Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat, Mysuru Chapter, in association with Sri Ananteshwara Trust, has organised a musical programme titled ‘A Song Tribute to Legendary Singer S. Janaki Amma,’ featuring students of the Diploma Course in Sugama Sangeetha. The programme will be held at 5 pm tomorrow (Aug. 10) at Sri Ananteshwara Bhavana, Housing Board Colony, Hootagalli, Mysuru.
MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah will inaugurate the programme. Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University Registrar (Evaluation) Dr. M.G. Manjunatha will offer floral tribute.
Kannada Sahitya Parishat Mysuru President Maddikere Gopal, senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar, Theatre personality Rajashekar Kadamba, cultural thinker Raghuram Vajpayee and writer Jayappa Honnali will be the chief guests. Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat Mysuru President Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy will preside.
