Muzrai Department priests and staff to get benefits of Sixth Pay Commission

Bengaluru: Minister for Muzrai, Haj and Wakf Shashikala Jolle said that priests and other staff of Muzrai Department will be benefited from the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

Speaking to presspersons here yesterday, Shashikala Jolle said that Muzrai priests and staff will also be brought under a new health insurance cover, which will benefit 37,000 employees. Noting that there was a persistent demand for implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations for Muzrai staff, she said that the implementation will cost the Government an additional Rs.20 crore, which will be sourced from revenues of temples coming under the Department.

The Department has planned to introduce IDMS (Integrated Development Management System) containing complete information about properties of temples, route map, seva services etc., she added.

Jolle further said that all Muzrai Temples have been issued a circular to perform special puja on Oct.15 marking Vijayadashami, to pray for the health of children and well being of people as reports have suggested of a possible outbreak of third wave of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
