Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysuru Centre, is organising a six-day MyBuild-17 exhibition at Maharja’s College Grounds from Dec.6 to 11.
BAI Mysuru Chairman S. Mahadevaswamy, addressing a press conference at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning, said: “Swami Muktidanandaji, Trustee, Sri Ramakrishna Mutt and Mission, Belur, will inaugurate the exhibition on Dec.6 at 5 pm at Maharaja’s College Grounds. Karnataka Pradesh Janata Dal (U) President Mahima Patel and BAI, State Chairman S.R. Swamy will be the guests of honour.”
He said that in its 17th edition this time, MyBuild has some special features than its earlier ones. Around 50,000 square feet hangar has been created with around 200 stalls that will have 93 Platinum Pavilion stalls with LED boards and 98 Diamond stalls.
There will be a separate Realty Block, which is an exclusive platform for apartments, layouts, developers and promoters along with finance companies, he said.
Since the river sand is becoming scarce and costly, a display and awareness about M-sand is also a feature this time, said Mahadevaswamy.
There will be a separate space for display of automobile vehicles and construction equipment, he added.
As part of the entertainment programmes in the evenings, a unique platform for the students to showcase their talents in singing Kannada songs has been arranged. This will be called ‘Voice of MyBuild.’ The semi-finals of this competition will be held on Dec.8 and 9 and the finals on Dec.10 at the venue, he said.
The entry fee for the expo is Rs.20 and the proceeds will go to Mysore Builders Charitable Trust (MBCT) that takes care of the health programme for the construction workers, he said.
MyBuild-17 Chairman K.R. Prabhakar Rao and Hon. Secretary S. Vasudevan were present at the press meet.
