Mysuru: Over 350 candidates attended the second edition of the Mega Job Mela held at MYCAS College, Mysuru, recently. A total of 37 reputed companies from key sectors such as ITES, Manufacturing, NBFC, Real Estate and Automobile participated in the event.
The day-long placement drive, which began at 9 am and concluded at 4.30 pm, witnessed active participation from over 350 job aspirants representing various under-graduate and post-graduate institutions. Many candidates appeared for more than five interviews, reflecting the enthusiasm and competitive spirit of the attendees.
The Mela resulted in the issuance of 100-plus on-the-spot job offers, with an additional 100 candidates invited for second-round interviews at company premises. The event was coordinated under the leadership of Dr. T.J. Ramya, Principal, MYCAS UG College and Madhushree Rakesh, who led the recruitment drive. The successful execution of the event was made possible with the support of 30 dedicated student volunteers.
Dr. G. Ramacharan, Director, MYCAS College, in a press release, thanked the companies and emphasised the institution’s commitment to facilitating career opportunities for its students.
