Mysore District Haj Committee meeting held

Haj Training and Vaccination  Camp on July 18

Mysuru: The Mysore District Haj Committee held its meeting on Thursday at Muslim Girls Orphanage (Phulwari), Ashoka Road, near Meelad Bagh.

Corporator Suhail Baig, who is also the Member of the Karnataka State Haj Committee, presided. The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Quran by Hazrath Moulana Maqbool Ahmed Saheb Nizami. Abdul Azeez Chand, Secretary, Muslim Girls Orphanage, welcomed.

On the occasion, Suhail Baig and ABS Group of Hotels Managing Director Syed Abbas were nominated as the Convenor and Joint Convenor of Mysore District Haj Committee to supervise the Haj Training and Vaccination  Camp for the Pilgrims of Haj 2017 to be held on July 18 at 10 am at Aiman Function Hall, opposite Darul Uloom Siddiqia Arabic College, Mysuru-Bengaluru Road.

The meeting discussed preparations for the smooth conduct of the Haj- 2017 camp. In all, 268 Pilgrims from Mysore District, 58 Haj pilgrims from Mandya District and 33 Haj pilgrims from Chamarajanagar District have been selected to proceed to Makkah and Madeena to perform Haj in September 2017.  

Former Corporator Anwar Baig, MUDA Member N. Anwar Pasha, Dr. Sheeraz Ahmed, Syed Umar and Muzammil Ahmed were present. Mohamed Mumtaz Ahmed, Secretary, Mysore District Relief Committee, proposed  a vote of thanks.
