Mysore District Open Rapid Chess Tournament begins

Mysore District Open Rapid Chess Tournament organised by the Mysore District Chess Association (MDCA) began today at the University Lions Hall premises here this morning.

The tournament was inaugurated by N. Sudharshan, President, MDCA, by moving the pawns in the chess board. Around 120 players are taking part in the tournament. Trophies will be presented for the first three winners in the boys U-15, U-12 & U-9 sections and for the first two places in the girls U-15, U-12 & U-9 sections.

K.R. Shivarame Gowda, Hon.Secretary, MDCA and other office-bearers of the MDCA were present on the occasion.
